It’s the New Year and we are ready for all things new and trendy. First off the rank is London Grammar who have just dropped a new track ‘Rooting For You’. With no instruments in their new Youtube video, this track is the first song we have heard from these guys in a while – and boy are we glad to see them back.
The song itself is haunting in its solitude. We appreciate the simplicity of the arrangement, a risky move from their previous hits ‘Strong’ & ‘Wasting My Young Years’. It is rare to see artists match the quality of their debut album, but with London Grammar i think we might be pleasantly surprised.
After playing in Australia for the New Year we anticipate great things from London Grammar. With Hannah Reid’s vocals there is no denying their talent, however time will tell whether they can continue the success of their debut album ‘If You Wait’.
We are men and we can get excited for new London Grammar music if we want to.
